How to Prevent Stretch Marks during Pregnancy

Being pregnant is probably one of the most beautiful times in any woman's life. Having a life grow inside of you, sometimes planned - and sometimes not - is nonetheless a little human being waiting to come into the world.

Things that Come with Pregnancy

Good and not so good things come along with the pregnancy and some of them include: morning sickness, which not all, but most women suffer from, very different eating habits and taste buds which make you crave and enjoy something you hated in the past as well as eating at all times of the day and night.

They may also experience swelling of the feet due to water retention and breasts soreness, which some women are used to from the times that they have their monthly cycle. Increase in weight is normal but the protruding stomach in particular can make walking, sitting and sleeping quite uncomfortable. Another thing that will happen during pregnancy is the skin will stretch to adjust the enlarging of your body, which in turn will produce stretch marks.

How to Prevent Stretch Marks during Pregnancy

Stretch marks are best dealt with before and when they happen rather than after the pregnancy. Therefore, you need to be aware and prevent stretch marks during pregnancy in order to have your body back to normal after the baby is born. There are a few creams available on the market that prevent stretch marks during pregnancy and therefore needs to be applied as the pregnancy progresses.

There are some organic oils, which help prevent stretch marks during pregnancy as well, they can be found in pharmacies and drug stores. The oils as well as the creams need to be applied daily to help the skin expand naturally without causing it to stretch and form the unwanted marks.

Some creams and oils that prevent stretch marks during pregnancy need to be prescribed by your doctor in order to make sure that it does not have any chemicals or substances that will cause an allergic reaction or discomfort for you or the baby.

Preventing Other Pregnancy Symptoms

Some crackers and green apples can help morning sickness; swollen feet and hands can be calmed down if you lift them up at a higher angle when you lay in bed. However, even if most of the symptoms happen to all pregnant women combating them could be different from case to case. Remember that you and your body are going through a great deal of changes in a very short amount of time and the reactions will not fail to show.

Enjoy your pregnancy everyday as best as you can, it will be a time you will cherish forever.
