What is a Pilates Move and Why is it so Important to Understand?

Pilates is a great way to keep fit today. If you have heard of yoga and are familiar with it, you should learn something about Pilates as well. The history tells us that Pilates as you are having it today, was not always the same.

Once upon a time, long, long ago a young man named Joseph Pilates had worked our a series of exercises which would ensure that the body was always healthy and rejuvenated; the philosophy of Pilates was that as long as the body is in perfect balance, i.e. both mental and physical, there is not more danger of any disease. The body grows totally immune to all diseases.

What Does a Pilates Move or Exercises Involve?

Yoga works on the principle that you can balance the inner energy which is extremely powerful to ensure your overall youth, mental stability and body stamina through breathing exercises and different postures which channelized the energy as it is requirement. Pilates on the other hand concentrates more on the physicality of it, rather than mental part.

Each Pilates move is designed to get back the total perfection of the human body and thereby maintaining itself properly. Happiness or contentment is not something that the Pilates might assure. That is the yoga's cup of tea. The Pilates move will definitely assure an excellent body which will be totally free of any disease and stay like that for as long as he/she does the Pilates move every day.

Do not ever stop the Pilates moves because once you leave these exercises you will grow fat and depressed. These exercises are meant to keep your body in top condition, which would, in turn will help you do whatever you do, only a little better. It is meant to keep you both healthy and fit.

Each Pilates move is designed as such that even after 96 years after its inception, they are still unbeatable. The only competitor is this field in the yoga, though this type of exercise too can be used with similar results. In many cases people prefer to do both yoga and Pilates, because yoga is more often than not focusing on the mind, while the later on the body.

Yoga uses the mental power to become and stay fit, while the Pilates move is used to re-enforce the balance of the muscles of the body in such a way that it assures your health and comfort for as long you live.
