Mobile Retirement Home Park - Some Tips, Some Advice

Older people today do not exactly wait for things to happen to them. They actively plan their life right to the very end - and sometimes, beyond. I have known a friend who, though only 25 years old, had made all the necessary arrangements for her funeral and left instructions and money for her cremation. Similarly, people today, do not wait for their old age to do something about it. They plan for it much before - which is indeed great because in this way, their life is better and they have more saved by the time they stop earning.

Tips on Choosing the Right Mobile Retirement Home Park

Many people want to leave their brick and mortar houses and live in mobile retirement home parks because, amongst other things, they need the same age company. You should consider other factors though, before you make the final decision. Run a cursory glance through the following lines for a guide:

  1. Is it feasible to live alone in the mobile retirement home park, or does it scare you? You should find out whether it is feasible for you to live alone in this park. Living alone, involves taking care of your groceries, bills and households chores all by yourself (
  2. Are there adequate medical facilities close by? Are these reliable and upto the mark? Be very careful when you answer this question. It could mean the difference in life and death.
  3. Are there proper amenities in the mobile retirement home park, like transportation, shops theatres etc so you could lead as normal a life as is possible?
  4. Will you be close to your family physically and over the phone? How far will your family live and how much time it would take them to come for you, in case there would be any emergency?
  5. Is the village well populated with people of your age? Is the community healthy and cohesive? It is very important that you gel with the community around you - look around, and see whether you like the people there.
