Guide To The Causes Of Lower Left Back Pain

Back pain is a condition that most of us have been faced with at one time or the other due to various reasons such as, sitting uncomfortably, standing too long, sleeping on the wrong type of mattress and/or exercising the wrong way. However, lower left back pain can be caused due to more serious reasons, which is not treated right away can lead to life threatening complications.

Causes Of Lower Left Back Pain

Some of the most common lower left back pain diseases are musculoskeletal disorders, which can be due to a spine injury or any amount of different types of injuries to the back. Depending on the types of musculoskeletal disease that you might be having, treatment may vary from drugs to surgery, a decision that only a qualified physician can make after careful examination.

Other lower left back pain can be caused by different types of kidney infections, which will require professional consultation and treatment as soon as possible to avoid complication. All lower left back pains should be treated with immediate attention as most of the times there is a serious cause involved, which will require immediate treatment for cure without any further complications.

Other Causes Of Lower Left Back Pain

Other causes of lower left back pain include common mistakes we all make everyday such as, poor standing and sitting posture, women wearing high heels while standing for long periods of time, sleeping in a wrong posture and/or lifting heavy objects.

You may also experience general back pain including in the lower left back when you hit yourself in a sharp object and/or if you fall from a significant height; in all the cases you must consult a qualified physician for proper care and treatment.

Excessive exercising can also cause back pain if you have strained a muscle or stretched it too hard and that can take almost a week to ten days to cure; for muscle strains painkillers cannot do much and you may be prescribed muscle relaxant; these medications are not available over the counter but only by a qualified doctor's prescription.

Common back aches can be usually treated with painkillers, which are available over the counter however, if you have specific back aches such as in the lower left hand side you must consult the doctor and not self medicate as that may in fact cause more damage in the long run.
