Keep Cool

You sweat when you do something or expose yourself to the warm temperature. Keeping from exerting any effort can keep you cool for most of the hot day but if you really need to do something, like work, here are some tips on how to stop sweating.

Ideally, you should avoid foods that can trigger sweating. These foods are those that are exceptionally spicy. Even moderately spicy foods can make you sweat a few minutes after ingestion. How to stop sweating when you have eaten spicy food is to eat some sugar to lessen the heat from the spices. The food that we eat can generate heat in our bodies if they are hot. Eating hot soup or drinking hot beverages can make you sweat immediately after.

How to stop sweating when you have exerted some effort is to simply take a cold shower and to cool off. Exercising will always yield sweating because we exert effort that makes our muscles work. This effort will cause our bodies to heat up and we sweat to compensate. Suggestions on how to stop sweating after exercising is to initially cool down by slowly exercising until you stop. Rest a bit after you have stopped exercising and before you hop in the shower. Take a refreshing cold shower to help lower your body temperature and to avoid sweating when you come out of the shower.

Other sensible suggestions on how to stop sweating are to always carry a spritzer to help cool you off especially during the warm summer months and to drink lots of cold water and other drinks. If you are the type to sweat excessively even when the weather is cooperating, you might like to try to use a stronger antiperspirant. If that does not work, try to eat less spicy foods or spices which may trigger sweat glands to overproduce. Examples of these spices are onions, garlic and others.
