"The Princess Whose Heart Burned", Or "Foods For Heartburn Relief"

Once upon a time, Princess Annie was suffering from heartburn.  She needed foods for heartburn relief, because back in the times of princesses they didn't have heartburn medicine (or chose not to use it).

"My heart burns," she told an attractive prince named Harold.  "Mine too," he told her.  He was in love with her, but unfortunately she did not feel the same way.  She simply had indigestion.  And since she felt so terribly, there was little chance that she would be able to reciprocate his love anytime soon.  Prince Harold decided that he would first have to conquer her heartburn by finding foods for heartburn relief, and then he could make her heart burn for him. They could be married and live happily ever after.

Which Foods Are Useful For Relieving Heartburn?

Prince Harold immediately set out with his trusty steed, in search of foods for relieving heartburn.  He asked all of the villagers what could help Princess Annie with her heartburn.  "What are some good foods for heartburn relief?" he shouted in the middle of town.  "Name them, and I will reward you with gold."

The villagers formed a line.  They were poor villagers, so they shared their favorite family secrets, and were rewarded accordingly.  They liked Princess Annie anyway, so it was worth it to them.

"A good food for heartburn relief is bread," the first villager told him.  "Bread, rice, and pretzels are all good," he told Prince Harold, "because foods for heartburn relief should not cause acid reflux."

Another villager confided, "When I use foods for heartburn relief, I just eat apples, potatoes, and carrots.  Or green beans."

Prince Harold gathered all of the foods available for heartburn relief.  He packed fresh bread, rice, and pretzels.  He bought apples, carrots, green beans, and potatoes.  All of these foods he loaded onto his horse and took them to Princess Annie.

Fatty Foods Make Heartburn Worse

"Oh, my beautiful Princess Annie," Prince Harold gushed, "Throw away the deep fried meat that you're eating.  Instead, eat these foods that I've brought you from far and wide for heartburn relief."

Princess Annie ate the foods for heartburn relief and immediately felt much better.  And then, her heart began to burn differently.  She fell in love with Prince Harold.  They were married and lived happily ever after, eating non-acidic foods so that Annie's heart never burned for anything but Harold.

The End.

Oh, and Princess Annie checked with her doctor before changing her diet to relieve heartburn, and you should too.
