Diagnosing Your Enlarged Prostate Symptoms



Some men have the unfortunate experience of an enlarged prostate and the uncomfortable symptoms that go along with it. One may notice a few signs and symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland. Most often the complaint reported are patients suffering from enlarged prostate that require treatment is trouble urinating. They often complain about the frequency of urination during the night. Some experience the inability to start or stop urinating and can also have drippings of urine after they are done urinating. Some patients describe seeing blood in their urine and in more severe cases even pus. Many also have complained of having trouble achieving and maintaining an erection and also experience difficulty ejaculating. Women do not have a prostate gland; therefore enlarged prostate symptoms are never experienced by them. Men starting ate age fifty should have a prostate examination. This is the best time to discuss any of the enlarged prostate symptoms you have been experiencing with your doctor. He will perform a prostate examination, to better diagnose the problem. The test is not as invasive as one would think. It only requires the insert of a finger into the anus for an internal examination. Once the doctor has finished the examination, he will then address the enlarged prostate symptoms that you have been dealing with. There are several medicines on the market that have proven to effectively treat the enlarged prostate symptoms. Medication as a form of treatment for enlarged prostate symptoms has been proven to work on 75% of men.

 



Don't Procrastinate

Procrastination can be very bad for your health. Once you experience any enlarged prostate symptoms, you should schedule a prostate test to determine the cause immediately. It may only be an enlarged prostate, but the symptoms could also be that of prostate cancer. In that case, treatment would need to be started as soon as possible. Avoiding prostate care can cause health issues that can possibly lead to death. So don't procrastinate, get the tests you need done at the time they are supposed to be completed. Once you know what you are dealing with you will be able to make an informed decision on the type of treatment to choose.
