Natural Constipation Remedies Act Well Taken First Thing In The Morning

Drinking lots of citrus juice is a surefire natural constipation remedy that does wonders to stimulate the colon as well as other parts of the body. The colon is relatively inactive at night and thus may require drinking of juices first thing in the morning to help in stimulating strong peristaltic action as well as promote bowel movement. Some of the different juices one can consume that can act as a constipation remedy include lemon, grapefruit, and orange juice.

The benefits of lemon juice include being filled with minerals, are rich in potassium, Vitamin C as well as bioflavonoid, which help in cleansing the entire body. Also, fresh lemon juice is the top gun as far as fruit juices are concerned, and it has plenty of citric acid, which does wonders for the body that no other juice can match.

Lemon juice acts on the liver and builds up enzymes that help in detoxifying toxins present in the blood. It also combines with calcium and makes soluble chemical substances, which are effective in removing kidney as well as pancreatic stones, plaque build-up as well as other calcium deposits in the body.

Helps Break Up Oils During Digestion

Fresh lemon juice is a wonderful constipation remedy because it helps break up oils during digestion and contributes to making less oil available to cells and joints in the body. All that is needed is to squeeze the lemon into a glass of warm distilled water and drink it upon waking in the morning, and not drink anything else for the next half hour. However, one should not take lemon juice if one is suffering from arthritis or if one has lemon allergies or ulcers.

Grapefruit juice is another simple natural constipation remedy, which like lemon juice, should be consumed first thing in the morning and nothing else should be drunk for the next half hour. It is not advisable to drink if anticonvulsant drugs, birth control pills, estrogen, protease inhibitors or other types of drugs are also being taken, as they will slow down the breakdown of these drugs and thus raise their levels in the blood to dangerous levels.

One can also combine grapefruit juice with orange juice and they work wonders and are a good constipation remedy. Guava, bale fruit, one tablespoon of corn syrup added to eight ounces of water is also wonderful constipation remedies that are recommended to cure constipation. Other natural constipation remedies one may wish to try out is adding a little extra sugar or some honey and drink it in a glass of milk twice daily.
