The Battle against Cellulite and MesotherapyEndermologie, another cellulite treatment used in reducing cellulite, can be a very expensive procedure because of surgical costs. Not only does endermologie yield temporary results, it also produces unsightly post-operation scars. While there are no proven, long-term treatments for cellulite and mesotherapy is the next best thing, many people are joining the bandwagon. In 1952, a Frenchman named Michel Pistor developed this medical technique (called mesotherapy) in treating rheumatoid, sports trauma, infectious and vascular disease, and circulation improvement, the latest discovery is the connection between cellulite and mesotherapy. The link between cellulite and mesotherapy is because when the middle layers of your skin become stimulates, it mobilizes the disbursement of cellulite. Things to Consider about Cellulite and Mesotherapy As a cellulite treatment, mesotherapy works by injecting a little amount of medication just below the skin's surface. This, in turn, will break down fats easily while enhancing skin improvements, including texture, firmness, circulation and tone. The medication being injected into skin is a combination of three ingredients - anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling, lipolytic to dissolve fat and vasodilator to improve circulation. You should understand that cellulite and mesotherapy would not affect one's weight. However, it can effectively reduce cellulite as well as make skin visibly silkier and smoother after several treatments. Before undergoing a mesotherapy session, make sure you consult with a doctor. This is important because the doctor will ask you about your medical history and then examine the cellulite-affected areas. During you consultation, the doctor will discuss your reason for mesotherapy and potential skin or body problems that you may be worried about. As soon as you sign your consent form, you can immediately ask for your first mesotherapy treatment. You will be photographed for the before and after' comparisons. This is important to determine if the cellulite and mesotherapy treatments will work on your condition. Each mesotherapy session will last only up to 45 minutes, depending on the area treated. You have to come back for future treatments at weekly intervals for about ten weeks. However, be aware that you may not see visible results after the first session. It may take up to four to six weeks. These results, however, can be overwhelmingly dramatic and long lasting. |
