Breast Feeding Pump - The Uses And The Need

As soon as the pregnancy starts, from the second month itself, the breasts start swelling with milk. This aspect is both pleasurable as well as painful. Pleasurable because the body starts producing great deals of hormones which make you feel very excited all the time; and pleasurable because this is the time when the body is almost compulsorily orgasmic.

The Uses Of The Breast Feeding Pump

The breast feeding pump is an implement designed to milk human breasts. In some countries however, it is true that breast feeding pump is also used to milk cows on a farm. Though it sounds a little hilarious, one needs to take out the milk from breast especially when the baby is starting to be weaned; it is then when one gets extra milk in the breast. Only after the breasts are pumped out the pain will subside, if the swelling is indeed caused by accumulation of breast milk.

There are other uses for the breast feeding pump. When working mothers leave for their jobs and they do not want to stop the breastfeeding, then the breast feeding pump comes to great use. Just as you would milk a cow, the pump would milk the human breast and have it stored in bottles. The collected milk will stay okay for about 48 hours. Now this milk can be used for the baby when you are absent and hence it will not disturb anyone not will the baby's breast feeding be stopped.

The Breast Feeding Pump - The Use Versus The Need

Now that you have a brief overview on the whole thing, you will understand that the breast feeding pump is used both for cows and humans as well. The use of the pump for humans is limited to the collection of milk for the baby who would be stranded for some time without his/her mother. Instead of giving the milk formula when he/she is hungry the collected human milk may be fed to the child.

The usefulness of the pump ends here. Though limited use it is worth its weight in gold when you are in trouble. When milk gets accumulated it becomes very painful; then you have only one concern, i.e. how to take it out as soon as possible. Fortunately it is easy to use and works excellent, and within minutes of use, the pain of the breast will be reduced to normal.
