The Jury Is Out As To Whether Botox Brain Damage Is A Real Danger Or Not

Botox brain damage is a very real threat since it is known to cause a frozen face and even do some damage to the nervous system, besides damaging the brain. The sad truth is that having a facelift done by injecting Botox has been known to cause damage to the brain, and in any case the main ingredient of Botox or botulinum toxin is known to be extremely dangerous as well as among the most poisonous substances being used commercially.

Available To The Average Man

Now-a-days, Botox has become available to the average man, though in its heydays it was generally only affordable to the well heeled and so, today by paying a mere two hundred dollars, anyone can get a Botox injection. Thus, Botox brain damage is now going to affect you and I and in fact, according to recent research done by some researchers, this deadly poison may cause the damage to spread from your face to your central nervous system after having been injected into your skin.

In fact, when Botox was tested on rats by the Italian National Research Council and more particularly it's Institute of Neuroscience, it was found that botulinum toxin spreads from the site of its injection to the brain, and in another six months it spreads further to other parts of the brain as well.

However, it must be stated that some famous celebrities including Sir Cliff Richard and Teri Hatcher are users of Botox though mercifully there has not been any reported Botox brain damage in them. Nevertheless, recently there were some sixteen reported deaths in the US which was attributed to use of Botox and so the jury is out on how much risk is attached to the use of Botox.

Many of the findings of researchers who have studied Botox brain damage can in fact be used by those who oppose the use of Botox and want it to be strictly regulated. Still, those who dispute the findings regarding Botox brain damage counter with the argument that the amount of botulinum toxin used on rats was far less than what is administered to humans and thus the risk of Botox brain damage is significantly less.

Given the fact that Botox is still relatively new and not much knowledge is available as to its possible side effects, it is up to you whether you want to risk Botox brain damage and also suffer from the frozen face so commonly associated with use of Botox.
