Causes And Cures For Back Acne

Having acne on the face is already an irritating and humiliating experience so you could just imagine what level of embarrassment and hassle it is for someone who has back acne. Back acne has no difference with zits on the face, only they sometimes appear to be more cystic and vulgar making you feel embarrassed especially when naked.

It is important to learn more about back acne in order for you to treat and avoid it. Knowing the facts about it is already half the way so does not lose hope because you could still have the smooth skin that you are dreaming of.

What Gives?

Back acne occurs much so like normal pimples that appears on other parts of your body and this usually happens when the pores of your skin becomes clogged. Each pore has a hair follicle which also contains an oil gland to help skin become lubricated and help remove dead skin cells. And if the oil glands produce too much oil, pores automatically get blocked and then it accumulates dirt, debris, and other bacteria.

Sometimes, back acne occurs especially if our back scrubbing and cleaning are taken for granted. And also, using soaps that have harsh ingredients could only help trigger the appearance of back acne that is why it is best to use only mild soaps which helps in moisturizing your skin like Dove, Neutrogena, or Olay.

What Cures?

There are many ways you could cure or avoid back acne and one thing that you could do aside from using gentle yet moisturizing soaps is to not squeeze, prick, or rub the pimples on your back. This could only help alleviate the irritation and it could lead to more irritation and scarring. Another thing that you could do is use products that have tea tree ingredient to help dry up the pimples. One great product is the Tea Tree Body Wash from the Body Shop or the Proactiv Body Wash that specializes in treating pimples at the back or other parts of the body.

If these products for back acne do not work, the best action that you could take is by consulting your doctor or dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment. The doctor may give you oral medications such as minocycline, doxycycline, and tetracycline. Topical acne medications may also be given to you such as clyndamycin or erythromycin and also synthetic vitamin A called retinoids may be of help.
