Atkins Diet Breakfast Recipe Replaces Carbs With Protein

Some typical breakfast foods such as toast and hash browns may be difficult to leave of the plate for some folks, but finding an Atkins diet breakfast recipe that fills you up and tastes good, is not that difficult. The main ingredient left out of any Atkins diet breakfast recipe, carbohydrates, can be done with a little thought about what can replace that which most are traditionally accustomed.

Remember, the Atkins diet allows for red meat along with protein to replace the carbohydrates in many foods. Breakfast scrambles can be made with real eggs along with the types of meat you enjoy. One Atkins diet breakfast recipe that many people rave about is the beef scramble.

Start with a half-pound of ground beef, browned in a skillet with two tablespoons of finely minced onions. Once the beef is well browned, add three ounces of cream cheese and leave the mixture on low heat until the cheese is melted. Beat three large eggs with a teaspoon of water, adding salt and pepper conservatively until you know how much you need to meet your taste and then pour over mixture in the skillet. Scramble together until eggs are cooked to the desired consistently. This Atkins diet breakfast recipe will typically feed two, or you can save half for the next day.

Fast, Microwave Meals Included

For many, breakfast can be a confusing time and meals need to be ready in a hurry. When cooking a full meal just is not going to fit into the time you have available, you can try this Atkins diet breakfast recipe for faux oatmeal for a quick hot meal that will not blow your carbohydrate intake for the week.

Start with a half-cup of wheat bran and a half-cup of flaxseed seed meal. Add in one single-serve package of Splenda or other artificial sweetener and one-third cup of water and mix it all together. In microwave bowl, put it in the microwave for about a minute, stir and then microwave another 30 to 45 seconds. You can add cinnamon or artificial sweetener if desired to the Atkins diet breakfast recipe, which will typically serve two. It contains about 15 grams of carbohydrates, which will be shared.

There are numerous Atkins diet breakfast recipe options available and while cooking in the morning may not be for everyone, starting your day with a healthy breakfast is just one way the Atkins diet plan will help you lose the weight you are trying to get rid of.
